FAIR TRADE GHANA NETWORK ORGANISES FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR ITS MEMBERS

In August and September 2022, Fair Trade Ghana Network organised series of financial management trainings for seventeen (17) of its member organisations with the aim of building their capacities to access finance.

These trainings were a follow up from needs assessments conducted on them by John Doss Consult, a leading finance Consult, which was contracted by our long standing sponsors Agronomists and Veterinarians without borders (AVSF). A total of fifty (50) representatives from these seventeen (17) member organisations participated in these three-day trainings in Accra, Koforidua, and Kumasi.

 

Member organisations that benefited from these training sessions included, Matamiss Pottery, Solid Rock Association, Tekura enterprises, ACOPPS & AMOPPA Organic Pineapple farmers’ association, Aiynase Coconut farmers’ Association, BS Abanga Coconut farmers’ association, Assin Citrus farmers’ association, Yilo krobo Mangoes farmers’ association, Adumanya Mangoes Farmers Association, Fanteakwa Cocoa farmers Association, ABOCFA, Apesika pineapple farmers’  association, West Akyem Cocoa farmers Association,  Asunafo cocoa farmers’ association, Offinso fine flavour cocoa farmers union, Nyame Akwan citrus farmers’ association, Trade Aid Integrated, Kuapa Kooko farmers Union.

This financial management training focused on areas such as; basic accounting principles, statutory payments, income generation, financial performance assessment etc. Participants expressed their gratitude to Fair Trade Ghana Network, AVSF and John Doss Consult for the training and gave the assurances to go back to their various organisations to implement the right financial management practices.
